"Excellent service"

About: Buxton Hospital

I attended the MIU for a period of nearly three weeks due to a leg injury that was not healing properly.

I attended the unit on five occasions.

I was always dealt with promptly and the longest waiting time was 15 minutes. After my first visit staff were always aware of my condition and the reason for any particular visit. This saved me having to update staff on each visit as to what had happened and progress to date. This can be a demoralising experience so I was grateful that staff had made themselves aware.

No matter who attended me all staff from the most senior to the trainee nurses treated me with kindness and respect. They were careful to keep me aware of what they were doing and told me what I should do at home.

At one point it was necessary to involve my medical practice and a senior nurse arranged an appointment and described my condition to the medical staff at Buxton Medical Centre.

My wife attended with me on all visits and she was equally impressed by the high standard of service. We would like to pass on our thanks to all the staff at the MIU Buxton and let them know how much we appreciated their professionalism and compassion. Thank you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this excellent feedback about our Buxton Minor Injuries Unit.

I am pleased you had a good experience.

We try our best to provide a high level of friendly and timely care and we are always encouraged when patients take the time to tell us how we did.

I will ensure the team are made aware of your comments and I hope your leg is healing well.

Kind regards
