"NMGH Breast Clinic"

About: North Manchester General Hospital / Breast surgery

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff at NMGH Breast Clinic, they have all been amazing, professional, helpful and really understanding during a particularly difficult time in recant months with our mothers aggressive breast cancer, from March 2018 to presently.

The unequivocal support, honesty, experience and future hope has been sublime, the extra mile everyone goes is truly amazing, the little things of remembering names, special occasions and dates is unbelievable. The clinic is extremal busy-and sometimes over booked-but no one rushed our mum, even when we had to drop in at short notice.

Devastating and life changing news was given in a compassionate, honest and caring manner, and no questions were 'silly' or left unanswered.

The speed from finding a lump to the first appointment, then surgery and the continuing treatment/care with a fantastic, professional and caring consultant and her team has been astounding. We would also like to say a big thank you to the reception team who have also been amazing, with my requests to aim to arrange vital appointments around my full time work.

The lines of communication and friendliness between in-patient wards, A&E department, MRI&CT scan departments etc have also been extremely encouraging at NMGH as well as the communication between The Royal Oldham hospital as also been encouraging.

Finally to any one one reads this before visiting, please be assured that you will be treated as an individual and shown dignity, respect, compassion, care and given the time and care by this amazing team and service.

Good on you all at NMGH breast clinic you are all amazing, caring professionals who are are a credit to not only the NHS but drive themselves beyond reasonable limits to do more, show more and be more to every who arrives scared, overwhelmed, unsure and frightened at your clinic. Your combination of compassion, understanding, engaging, priceless insight and wisdom, empowering skills and sometimes gentle humor, urges and encourages patients and their family's to gain the courage to have hope and strength during some difficult decisions/journeys.

My heartfelt thanks, gratitude and admiration to everyone who has been involved in our mothers care and treatment and a world without appropriate hugs is not a place you want to be.

Yvonne and Alan C.

Dear Yvonne and Alan, thank you so much for sharing such a poignant and inspiring experience; your description of the emotional and practical challenges for your Mother and yourselves, and how they have been overcome through your collaboration with our staff is very rewarding to learn.

Its pleasing to know that you and your Mother have felt fully involved in the care provided, and that the staff have done their utmost to personalise her care.

Our staff consistently strive to provide the best quality care they can and so we are delighted that your experience reflected this. It is rewarding for the staff to hear these kind comments; it is very much appreciated.

Your comments have been given to the senior leadership team for North Manchester Care Organisation to share with the respective staff members.

Thank you so much.

Regards,
