I have recently had to call the surgery several times to discuss
the fact that they are not sending the repeat prescriptions for both my elderly parents to their nominated Chemist.
It seems each time the receptionist attitudes are very unprofessional and patronising. I understand how busy the practice can be but that is no excuse for rudeness and unprofessionalism. The last time I had to actually go to the surgery to sort this matter out to be faced by blank faces on reception and a huge line of people in front of me with similar problems.
I had left several messages for the practise to contact me as it is near impossible to get through and finally spoke to one person that promised to sort this out as every time I request medication the system says request rejected and you are in limbo between the practice and the Pharmacy. I thought patient access was supposed to make this kind of thing easier ! Needless to say she did not sort this and I had to go in person to the practice.
This is a simple matter that should take no longer than 2 days and to date it has taken 7 and countless phone calls. It is not new medication simply their existing 2 monthly repeats.
I hope this can be passed on to the practice as I am totally fed up.
