I went into A&E on Thursday 09/08. I was then taken to Ambulatory Care Unit where I was swiftly seen by a nurse then a Dr. Both of which made me feel very relaxed. I was suffering of DUB, which could’ve made me amnemic quite quickly! Dr had to perform series of tests, one of which was unbearably painful, however I was reassured and put at ease every step of the way. Spent a total of 3hrs there, sadly left with no answers to explain my DUB but did leave with a scan date! I’d like to thank every single member of staff who looked after me that day, I have never had a pleasant experience in hospitals so being taken to A&E was never-wracking! However, EVERYONE in Ambulatory Care was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after. Some Dr’s now a days tend to rush through as they’re busy busy, but I had plenty of time to express my concerns except I left without being able to thank the Dr! (All females that day!).
Being a Uni Paramedic Student I know how much a simple “thank you” can mean to those in the healthcare sector who are overworked and stretched beyond belief, so... Thank you, thank you, thank you! After 16 days of pain, stress and tears I’m now happily on the mend! All thanks to you guys.
All the best,
Amanda
