I visited this clinic for conscious sedation at 13+ weeks and found my experience professional, supportive and caring. I wish I could name names as the understanding and flexibility in approach Helped me through my treatment and I was shown nothing but kindness.
I had a high BP which was anxiety driven and having been refused treatment whilst in theatre by another provider unfortunately made this worse. However BPAS gave me time and calmness to help reduce this. The appointment was about me and what I needed and not like a conveyor belt I’d experienced elsewhere.
The prospect of Conscious sedation was scary but all in all was effective and perfectly manageable. There was no pain, just slight discomfort during the procedure but your hand is held throughout by the wonderful theatre team who explain things step by step in advance. The procedure is over in minutes, honestly I was so surprised at how quick. The aftercare in recovery was phenomenal, no rushing you, things are done at your pace with all vitals monitored to ensure you are safe and well.
My support person was updated throughout which was great as it’s a long anxious wait for them too. The dignity and respect shown to us both was overwhelming and made a difficult experience more manageable.
I travelled 4 hours to this clinic due to ones more local having a 6 week waiting list. I honestly would recommend this clinic to anyone who wants a supportive, respectful and professional experience. This place and the team helped put a little light and hope on a dark day.
"Excellent, professional, supportive care"
