I'm writing this to hopefully ease some other girls who may have felt the way I did before my surgical abortion. I was so nervous, I was crying so much but the nurses at my original consultation were so nice and caring. Most of the time I had nice nurses who took the time to care for me and make sure I was okay, however I have to agree with some of the previous reviews saying you are rushed around a lot. I waited 3 hours for my surgery and I was literally rushed into a room and ushered onto the bed and wasn't really spoken to or calmed down. This was the worst part. Another awful part of my surgery was after, when in the recovery room I was left to carry a heavy bag, a heavy basket and all my belongings to the changing room. Nurses saw me struggling to carry things, especially as I had just been sedated AND I still had a cannula in my arm and failed to even offer me assistance. Other than those two negative aspects, everything else was good. I understand that they are busy which may lead to them rushing me so I wasn't too upset, it just didn't help as I was so nervous already. But to anyone who is nervous, just know it really isn't as bad as you think it will be. I thought I'd be sick from anaesthetic and I'd be all over the place, but I was fine after a while.
