"Phone apointments"

I have just tried to make an appointment for a follow up to my Knee x ray . Only to be told they do not take advanced appointments through July and August due to holidays. I have to phone up after 8 am for a same day appointment. Owing to the fact that I work permanent nights this is an impracticable situation. I feel that I am being discriminated against as the doctors surgery is a good 20 minute walk away. I feel it is a constant battle to get to see a doctor and feel totly let down.
