In June 2018 I was admitted ward 4 Wishaw General Hospital, suffering from a serious shortage of breath and a very high pulse rate. The following day I was fitted with a telemetry device and transferred to the nearby Coronary Care Unit, later that evening I suffered a ventricular tachycardia thankfully I was revived and I live to tell this tale.
I was transferred back to ward 4 under the care of Mr Tait, I received every test possible and every check possible to determine my condition, its improvement and ongoing care. The care and attention I received from the cleaners, nursing assistants, nurses and medical staff was exemplary everyone made it their duty to ensure that I and my fellow patients were cared for in a professional and helpful manner. I eventually received an ICD implant at Hairmyers Hospital as part of my ongoing care plan, after a three week wait. I am now at home recuperating and hope to bit back to normal as soon as is reasonably practical.
"The care and attention I received was exemplary"
