"Disorganization and careless burocracy"

About: Abbey Medical Centre

Me and my family regularly spend more time battling against they lack of organisation that actually receiving a service.

Every time we call, we receive wrong information until we guide the receptionist through what are the right documents/information that we need.

One of our kids got prescribed an anti asthma medication when it had a bronchiolitis and even if we were presenting the GP with the medical history saying that he was chronically suffering from it, we were treated like fools. We had to go to the E.R. and wait there for 3 hours (non-emergency) to get and antibiotic prescription.

My partner suffers from chronic legs wounds that could be chron's disease and need a biopsy since 6 months ago. We cannot manage to get one in time before the wounds heals because every single time the reception manage to forget to book the appointment with the dedicated NHS structures after having given us the day and time they would book the appointment. The results is taking day off of work to go to an hospital/clinic and discover that we don't have an appointment. IT happened already 3 times.

Every visit should last 10 minutes but we've been sent out after 5 minutes more than once when the GP decided that the visit lasted enough.

Dear Patient, I offer my sincere apologies if you have received what appears to be conflicting information with regards to the healthcare of your family members. I have spoke with all clinicians, but they cannot recollect treating anyone presenting the symptoms that you have described, but as this would be of some concern to them, please can you call in to our reception asap and they will make the appropriate appointments with the first available GP. Unfortunately as you have posted anonymously, we cannot contact you. Can you also check you have made your comments under the correct surgery, as we share a similar name with other surgeries. Mr N Hoque, Practice Manager.
