What I liked
Immediate feedback: My mother, an 89 year lady, was admitted last night with a broken hip and contusions various - notably to the head - following a serious fall downstairs. The 999 operator service was efficient; the paramedics were on scene within 13 mins (at a v remote location 10 miles west of GWH) and were exemplary in extricating this old lady, in considerable pain, from a difficult position. A&E reception was efficient and polite and the medical staff nurses/doctors to Registrar (A&E to Ortho SAT) were considerate, attentive and extremely professional in their dealings not only with my mother but also with my wife and I. We were not made to feel unwelcome or in the way ( as has happened elsewhere within the NHS) so I thank you all for dealing, in exemplary fashion, with our side of the trauma alongside that of my mother also. We look forward now to a successful op today and an effective rehabilitation in the forthcoming weeks. The NHS at its best - joined up teamwork. DAB (son).
