"Heart valve replacement in December 2016"

I was aware I needed a Mitral Valve replacement , my Cardiologist referred me to a Surgeon at St Georges, I was ask to attend a pre assessment study prior to Surgery,

I spent the day going from department to department, but I noticed that the departments did not interact with each other , they did not work as a team

I met Prof at a charity function and when I found out he was one of the best heart surgeon in the UK I requested to see him, but he had retired from performing surgery, he told me the name of the Doctor who was taking care of his patients, so I arranged for an appointment with a Dr, who I absolutely felt total confidence, and he said he would be happy to perform my surgery and would have his PA contact me, regarding a date, who by the way was a great help and was always happy to answer any questions I had My surgery was scheduled for December 20 2017. I was admitted the day before and found all the staff wonderful, the evening prior to my surgery the anesthestist came to my room to go over her part of the procedure, I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff from the porters that take you to whatever department. You need to see all the way to the entire team that worked with my Dr, my experience was the very best. My only negative would be to find a new and better food supply company. For the hospital that matches the level of service they give.
