"Very happy with level of efficiency, compassion..."

About: Croydon University Hospital / Accident and emergency

I took my husband to E/M department on Saturday night around 21:30 hrs.I was greeted with a smile by the receptionist.I informed her of the reason of our visit. She directed us where to wait & very quickly summoned a triage nurse realising the gravity of the situation.. From then on we were attended very efficiently, by all staff, who were working under difficult conditions but efficiently & cheerfully

. Relevant tests were carried out immediately & moved to another area for further monitoring. Throughout what was happening & the rationale was sensitively communicated.to us .

Once in Resustation area again rationale was explained as was the procedure and reassured at all times.

Doctor on duty was very efficient carried out further tests & at all time communicated with us.as to why she was carrying the tests out.

Once all the tests came back & results were satisfactory we were given the choice to return home or remain in hospital, naturally my husband chose to return home,

A letter was emailed to our GP & a copy given to us with further instructions.

We felt very assured with the level of care throughout our experience on Saturday night 11th of August.

Thank you very much Emergency Department Croydon University Hospital.
