I was admitted to the Golden Jubilee in August for keyhole surgery to remove my gallbladder. I was extremely nervous as I had never had any sort of surgery, and was also travelling from Lanarkshire with my pre-op carried out at Hairmyres hospital. From my early morning admittance until I left later that night, I was treated extremely well by all staff. From the nursing assistant right up to my consultant Mr Forshaw, everyone made me feel at ease and helped to calm my nerves. The procedure went well, and I was well looked after by a UWS nursing student Kirsty until I was discharged. The whole experience was very reassuring and the care was excellent by all.
"The care was excellent"
