I feel that it can sometimes take a long time to be seen in the nhs, not through any of the staff faults, but simply the number of patients vs the number of staff. My journey has been a long painful one, but I wanted to take the time to praise not just the nursing and medical staff in Neurosurgery but also the secretaries who do so much behind the scenes but never get praised or thanked and we never get to meet. Mr Canty was a very caring and listening consultant and explained everything that was going on so well to me, the nurses on Ward 66 and 65 were so kind and considerate. But above all that was Mr Canty’s Secretary who bore the brunt of my impatience and questioning. She was so delightful and helpful and always got whatever I needed sorted out for me the best she could - she was on this journey with me the longest and I never even got to meet her or thank her - so thank you!
"Wonderful staff"
