"Long wait but excellent care"

Having woke in the early hours of the morning with what appeared to be a ‘dodgey tummy ache’ from the previous nights takeaway I contacted NHS 111 which all I can say was less than helpful.

Having decided to attend Goole hospital to be checked as something didn’t feel quite right I was faced with a rather long wait but what followed more than makes up for this.

I was thoroughly examined and numerous questions asked and subsequent investigations indicated that I may have appendicitis.

Needless to say I was immediately asked which hospital I would prefer as I needed urgent assessment to either confirm/dismiss such diagnosis. Less than 12hrs later I was recovering from having my appendix removed.

All I can say is a big thank you to all concerned and especially to the staff at Goole hospital for the care given and swift action and diagnosis as the consequences could have been dire.
