"Great Care!"

About: Western General Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit Western General Hospital / Oncology

(as a relative),

Kirsty and Natasha took really good care of Jimmy, and are examples of the very best aspects of NHS nursing. They were both fantastic at making sure his particular needs were met, and enabled his treatment to run efficiently and smoothly.

The only down side was the 3.5 hour triage before moving to his bed in base 1.
I am not sure that it needed to be more than 30 minutes, if at all necessary, as his treatment had already been determined by his Oncologist.

Dear Casey Jones

I am really pleased to hear that you found the quality of nursing care in our Medical Assessment Unit to be of a high standard and patient centred.

Feedback from our patients and their relatives is very important to our clinical teams. Through feedback, we can be reassured that we are achieving a good standard of care, or even more importantly, make changes when the experience has not been found to be as positive.

We recognise that sometimes our assessment process could be quicker and more streamlined and this is something we are currently reviewing.

Many thanks

Catriona Rostron
