This review is not about myself but about the treatment a relative received.
My sister attended a pre-med appointment and then was a day patient to have a small operation to remove a growth on her face.
She is 73 years old and has moderate Learning Difficulties, which means she was unable to answer questions, understand why she was there, why she needed the operation and who different people were.
I was concerned that she would be terrified due to her lack of understanding.
I cannot praise enough the wonderful staff, who although could not have fully understood her abilities - spoke to her and treated her with such care and patience.
Also the hospital staff who provided help and advice to assist me in making decisions on her behalf.
Thank you all so very very much
"Thoughtful care"
