I had blood in my urine and was amazed at the speed at which 3 tests were organized.
The third, a CAT Scan showed the possibility of cancer in my ureter and I came into hospital for an examination in your Treatment Centre.
As I have ischaemic heart disease, I was offered a spinal anaethetic, to reduce the risk and that allowed me to observe the team in action and to follow the procedure on the screen.
I was totally impressed by how the team worked together so efficiently and delighted to hear that they could find no sign of cancer.
They did find that my ureter was rather narrow and took the opportunity of inserting a temporary stent to elarge it, which will be helpful.
I was then moved to Ward 20, where again I was impressed by the organisation, care and consideration by the nurses and other staff with whom I had contact
Could you please pass on my appreciation of everyone’s contribution to a pleasant and successful stay in hospital?
