"Giving birth in the birth center"

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital / Maternity

My wife gave birth in the birth center at Hammersmith and Chelsea hospital and our experience could not have been better. The facilities were clean, spacious, comfortable and functional. Food, drinks and temperature were well regulated. It was the midwives, though, that made the experience of the birth of our first child such a positive one. Every single midwife we were in contact with was kind, patient, helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. The staff was well-organized and guided us through our - admittedly quick - labour with competence and composure. Thank you so much. A special thank you goes to the midwives who we were in more frequent contact with. Everyone else was fabulous as well!
