"My Aunt had first class care from a wonderful doctor."

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My aunt, not wanting to bother anyone, rang 111 when she woke up with severe pain in her hip. They booked her in at a&e and she managed to get herself down there. The care that she said she had from this doctor who was clearly exhausted at the end of his shift went above and beyond for her, and even took her back to the car in a wheel chair. What a lovely man. He had a couple of laughs and some good advice about what to be cautious of should things get worse. His name was Dr Alex. Hope he gets the recognition for the good job that he does ❤️

Thank you very much for taking the time to comment on behalf of your Aunt. I will share your kind words with the Team in the Emergency Department so they can reach Dr Alex.

I do hope your Aunt is on the mend.

With best wishes

Rebecca Pilling, Quality Improvement Facilitator: Patient Experience.
