Last month my mother was suffering pain in her foot which she had already been to the doctors about a few weeks before, they said she had an infection and antibiotics was given, a few weeks later the pain was still there aswell as a little swelling she also suffers with arthritis in that foot, she contacted her doctors but couldnt get an appointment for 2 weeks so was advised to contact 111 which gave her an appointment as urgent care north tees that day which i attended with her, we were seen pretty much straight away but the person we seen was very unpleasant, she looked at my mothers notes and said "theres nothing we can do" my mother who was clearly in pain started to het upset, myself explained she needed something to help with the pain and the doctors cant see her for another two weeks which the woman who we seen said in a harsh tone of voice "well what do you want me to do about it" me and my mam then left as there was clearly nothing the woman was going to do (she didnt even look or inspect the area my mother was feeling pain)
my mother then rang the doctors again they gave her an emergancy appointment which then took her to xray
this then confirmed she had a hairline fracture in her foot where the infection was.
i belive more training should be done if this is the manner in which the doctors and nurses are dealing and speaking to patients, my mother was clearly in pain and she didnt even take the time to look at it, it has also left my mother really upset which is why i have left this poor review.
"Unsatisfied with the treatment my mother received."
