I was booked in for Day surgery - post breast cancer. The staff are friendly & helpful unfortunately not enough of them. I did have a long wait but I am very grateful for the NHS who provide an exceptional service in my case.
When I went down to theatre the anaesthetists knew I was nervous and were so lovely- asking what music I wanted playing and relaxing me by making me laugh and chatting to me until I was unconscious. When I came to the recovery room again staff kind & considerate. I have been a patient at the Royal Free for almost 3 years and I can only speak highly of everyone who I have dealt with. I wish other patients would remember that everyone wants to be treated quickly & we are All stressed at being in hospital but isn’t it better than you get as much time as you need with your consultant than be rushed ?? We have an amazing facility in this country the NHS might not always be perfect but what is ? ! Let’s hope it continues.
