"Changed procedure on day of admission"

About: Hammersmith Hospital / Cardiology

I was very worried about having an ablation to treat my a fib, and on the day they changed from having general anaesthetic to local which made the freezing procedure very painful the pain killers had little effect, and then I was given a cardio version but despite being given sedation still felt like my body was exploding a very horrible experience .

Also my letter stated that you will be staying overnight please arrange someone the next day to collect you, then attempting to send you home the same day.

I think that the reason behind the change in procedure is to send you home the same day, perhaps this could be told to the appointments team to get the letters right.

On a positive note the doctors and nurses were very good.
