"Parking and Service"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

On 5 July I arrived for a 09.30 appointment. When paying the £3.50 parking charge I did not receive a receipt but as my payment was accepted I assumed the machine had run out of receipts. Several days later my wife received a fine for parking without a ticket. We still await a decision regarding our appeal.

On 1st August I received a telephone call asking me if a could attend the next day for my second eye injection as they had had a late cancellation but the caller stressed that I should arrive by 4.30pm. On arrival there were only 3 other people waiting. Many others arrived later with several not arriving until well after 5.00pm. As it turned out I was last on the list for treatment with those arriving late retaining their earlier place. As my treatment wasgoing to be well after 8.00pm why was I required to arrive by 4.30 and why did those arriving late retain their position. I left without treatment as our parking ticket was about to expire and Ihave decided that Iwill never return toMacclesfild General
