"Terrible service"

I suffer from anxiety especially when making phone calls, they are well aware of this. anyway i emailed them explaining that they never got back in touch with me last week like i was promised and that i didnt feel they take my situation seriously just because i can still work.

i asked them to contact my manager explaining they have my full permission to speak to him as i cant have my phone on me at work due to working in a secure area and whatever they had to say or recommend he would need to be made aware of anyway eg if they recommended going home sick or taking some medication that might make it very difficult to stay alert and do my job.

they replied this morning telling me not to email them again and to use the phone system, they contacted me direct instead of my manager like i had asked, and they said i would get a phone call later when they know i cant answer as im at work.

what part of what i told them they didnt understand, i dont know, but they didnt listen to anything or take my circumstances into consideration.

terrible people and i now want to look into going to another CMHT even if it means travelling a long way on 2 buses, i do not want to go back there!!!!!!

Also, it was lucky that i wasn't hell bent on self harming or suicidal when they replied as the response i got would have tipped me over the edge, it really would. As mental health professionals, you would think they would know that and respond differently.

Thank you for getting in touch. It sounds like things can be difficult for you with your work situation. We usually only discuss matters directly with the patient due to confidentiality. Even with your permission, contacting a third party can prove difficult because further questions may be posed. We can contact patients by email with prior request and we will always explain the limitations of this method. If you haven’t managed to resolve this issue with the team at Small Heath then do contact our Customer Relations team by text 07985 883509 or email bsmhft.customerrelations@nhs.net and they will investigate for you and liaise with the team or another team of your preference, if this is possible.
