"Very good minor injury/urgent care service"

About: Royal Free Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was very impressed with the level of service I received here today. I read many negative reviews of the urgent care/minor injuries units across London including this one when I was choosing where to go, so thought I should add my positive feedback for those making the same choice in future.

I went in 10 am on a Monday morning, basically because I wanted to check my hand wasn't broken after a climbing incident. All the staff were great, friendly and helpful throughout - receptionist, streaming/triage nurse, radiologist and doctor. I was seen by the triage nurse and x-rayed within 15 minutes of arriving. I was there for a little over an hour in total. Maybe I was wasting their time (not broken!) but the doctor was efficient but nice about it. Given it's still pretty swollen and painful I'm still glad I went just for my own peace of mind really.

I would definitely recommend this service

Dear Louise

Thank you for taking time to feedback on NHS Choices.

I'm sorry you suffered a climbing injury (thankfully not broken) and hope your hand is back to normal as soon as possible.

Staff will be made up reading your review and will want me to wish you the best for the future.

With Best Wishes

Richard
