"Last try to speak with the manager ......"

About: 3/Springfield House Medical Practice

Most horrible ever. Will make last try to speak with manager if its not hellping will defenitly register with amother sergery.

Everytime when i call for an apointment with the doctor get as answer: we have nothing free if you really need to bee seen you can go to the walk in gp in urmston!!!!

They dont want to give an apointment in the same day or eather next day. When i get a bit firm finelly they agree to give me an apointment with the nurse!

When i tell that to familly or friends they are all very surprised.

I have seen the nurse few times self and once with my huspand. Everytime what ever the simptomes are they say its a virus!! Once for urine infection once front head infection and my huspand for infection in chest. But its all a virus for them . Redicluse! A nurse how deside there is nothing wrong while there is an infaction.

We are not registerd in your practik to see only a nurse with no experionse or to be send everytime to the walk in gp in urmston. Its should be posible like every surgery to bee seen from the doctor when really needed and when you call earlly for an apointment.

Enought is enought.

Next time if i call and they do the same will be the last time for me to accept it. Defenittly done!

Dear Patient

It is with surprise to read your comments on here, please be assured that this is the first that I have heard about you trying to contact me. I have received no messages but please be assured that you could have sent me an email as an alternative. However I do have to be clear at this stage, that if there are no appointments available, I unfortunately would not be able to offer you anything different from the reception staff in the form of the next available appointment.

I'm very disappointed to read your comments around our nurse practitioner and can confirm that she is qualified and trained to the highest standard. Nurse practitioners are employed by GP's to treat minor illnesses and are more than capable of diagnosing viruses, infections and other acute illnesses. Their additional training is exclusive in this area and they are certified to work in this way. Please be assured that our doctors (or any doctors) would and could not employ a nurse in this capacity without the specialised training required.

With reference to you being re-directed to the Walk-in-Centre at Trafford, as I would ask you to appreciate, this is generally later on in the day when all the emergency appointments have been taken. We have surplus appointments at 8am each day, however once we have reached the safe limits of the day, we do offer this as alternative access alongside the minor ailment scheme and GP OOH after 6:30pm.

I recognise your suggestion that you will consider moving to another practice should you encounter any further problems and am sorry to learn of this, however as part of patient choice, you are quite within your rights to do so if you feel your relationship with our practice has broken down.

Kind regards

Lyndsay Rodway

Practice Manager
