It's taken me a little while to get round to writing this,
I was admitted to Summerfield ward at 28weeks pregnant, my blood pressure was slightly elevated and there was a problem with the cord function. I was on the ward for 18 days altogether as my baby was delivered at 29+5 and is doing amazingly well but that's a different story.
The girls who staff this ward are absolutely a credit to the Nhs. Although clearly under staffed and over run I always felt that my baby and I were in the safest hands. The care I received was outstanding and I cannot thank them enough for all they did for me. Some of these girls went above and beyond, taking my expressed milk down to the unit for me overnight and just being there to listen when the hormones all became to much.
From midwives to domestic staff absolutely every member of staff I encountered on the ward was lovely and helpful and most of all on the surface happy to be there!
Absolutely 10/10
