"Excellent Service in Colwell Ward"

My elderly mother was admitted to Colwell ward and spent a week in isolation due to a serious infection. The care she experienced was exemplary, from the consultant to the tea lady the kindness and respect shown was both genuine and heartwarming. This made a very distressing and uncomfortable episode almost pleasurable. The staff were cheerful and helpful despite being extremely busy. She found the food tasty and nourishing and her intolerance to dairy products was accepted without ever causing a problem. Nothing was too much trouble and on her behalf I would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff.
