I attended the Plastic Surgery Department as a daycase for minor surgery on 2nd August 2018.
The staff who dealt with me couldn't have been kinder or more efficient and professional, and the procedure, under local anaesthetic, was completely painfree. I was even given some refreshment afterwards, which was very welcome.
Having worked for many years in the NHS I am very familiar with hospitals and was quite prepared for a wait for my treatment, so brought a book with me.
Apart from thanking everyone involved, I would just like to suggest that perhaps a member of staff could occasionally reassure the patient that they havn't been forgotten. I was sitting in a cubicle behind a curtain for about one and a half hours, and felt rather lonely!
I know that the department was particularly busy and short staffed that morning and this is absolutely NOT a criticism.
I am exteremly grateful for the first class treatment I received.
