"Staff going the extra mile ..."

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

I brought my sister into the hospital following a fall. She had a nasty gash to her knee and as a result had debris in the wound which also needed stitching. Every member of staff we encountered went the extra mile. They were friendly and efficient. My sister was cared for every step of the way from initial treatment and flushing the wound out , tetanus , xray, consultations and ultimately time in theatre under local anaesthetic for a thorough debridement. We were home by 8pm, stitched and bound.

My grateful thanks to Mr Graham, DrRashid  , Nurse Menchie , Dr Rashids senior and all other nursing staff along the way. Everyone was absolutely lovely.

Having worked at Stanmore Orthopaedic myself , albeit non clinical, I am well aware of the important and amazing work our NHS staff do. Many times the unsung heroes.

Stoke Mandeville are up there with the best as far as I am concerned.

Many thanks xx
