"WONDERFUL ATTENTION AND SERVICE"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

As I was very concerned for the wellbeing of my Sister-in-Law who was awaiting an upcoming appointment several weeks away in the Integrated Muscular Skeletal department, I decided to telephone the appropriate number hoping that I might get her an earlier appointment or at least see what other options might be available.When the phone was answered I was met by a most charming man who listened to what I had to say and dealt with my concerns in a most mature and sympathetic way.

He explained the situation with waiting lists etc.which were generally long and fully booked.

He said the most probable solution would be a cancellation and he promised to keep the situation under review. He was the essence of kindness and patience during my call and I feel he should be strongly commended to his managers for the way he handled my call.

I can see a good future in the NHS if he continues in this way. Shortly after this call, someone did cancel and fortunately My sister-in -law was able to get to the hospital quickly. Many thanks to all of you at Rake Lane for the wonderful service you provide.
