"Hysteroscopy with the Dr"

About: St Mary's Hospital / Gynaecology

Dr and her team worked with me to support me through this procedure. They listened to my needs as a survivor of sexual abuse and discussed with me the procedure and sedation/pain relief. A big thanks to the anaesthetist, for taking the time to talk through with me what would work best, and for sitting with me, holding my hand and talking to me all the way through as I had requested. Having an all women team that day made all the difference to me.

I felt respected and cared for. They made the experience warm, friendly and we had some laughs!

It was very kind of you to take the time to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff. It was reassuring to read that you felt respected and cared for as this was clearly a very anxious time for you. The Trust has introduced a Behavioural framework within which all members of the nursing and medical teams work.

It is clear to see the staff caring for you listened and respected your individual needs, worked together with you to provide the environment of care best suited to you in a professional manner.

I can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts to Dr Sean Burns, Clinical Head of Division for Gynaecology and Mrs Louise Weaver-Lowe, Head of Nursing and the staff involved.
