"Poor experience everytime"

About: Hendon Way Surgery

This is a surgery that is so far over-capacity.

Impossible to ever get an appointment either on the day or in advance.

Because of its over-capacity situation, the receptionists are massively overloaded and as a result are pretty short with you and rude.

I don't think it's the receptionists fault, I think that they are bound by crummy processes and systems.

Although they say the telephones open at 8am - when you call anytime between 8am and 8.20am you get an automated notice that the lines are busy and to call back later.

This is because there are a ton of people who are queuing outside the surgery to get a same-day appointment and the receptionists seem to deal with these first rather than opening the phone lines.

Even if you do connect on the phonelines, you could be on hold for a long time before speaking with someone (average wait time for me of late has been over 15 min on hold being person number 3 or 4 in the queue).

The waiting area is full of passive aggressive "do this" "don't do that" notes which I find off putting and rude.

The times I've seen a doctor, I've had a relatively sketchy experience.

I don't believe that they care and they seem to look to me to make a diagnosis about what's wrong with me rather than taking the time to actually understand the symptoms I'm presenting and consider appropriate next steps.

The sense is that they want to get me out of there as quickly as possible with a prescription or referral to get them off their hands.
