"I have my son back"

About: The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was admitted to the Hoarsley Unit earlier this year.

It has taken me six months to tell my story as my son is now getting ready to be discharged from rehab.

My son owes his life to the empire team of the Hoarsley Unit.

Staff were so supportive and helped me through my darkest days.

Days were I felt helpless watching my son on life support.

Dedication he received care was paramount.  Sensitivity towards myself

I have so much respect.  I cannot thank you all at once but

From my heart thank you so much.  Thank you for helping

Me when I was crumbling at my knees.  To all nurses who looked

After him.  Who treated him like himself a young man.

Washed and shaved him never ever let him down.  Making sure

He smelled nice.  Little things that make life normal for relatives.

Dr Tell I and all other professionals I thank you all.

Josh is doing well now you wouldn't know him.  He will call and see

you all one day.  I have my son back and your care and dedication did this

For both of us.

God bless you all.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us. It is so emotional just reading about what you, your son and your whole family have gone through. This has clearly been such a journey for you all and we would be delighted to see Josh and how well he is doing.

We will share your feedback with our staff and we would love to speak with you to see how we could share your story. If you would like us to do this, could you please contact our Patient Experience Team at patientexperienceteam@thewaltoncentre.nhs.uk or by phone to 0151 556 3093/91

Thank you so much again and we hope Josh continues to make a good recovery.

All nurses at the Hoarsley Unit. Without you all I can't even imagine how I coped. The Times when I was looking at the machines getting very stressed with every bleep and you carried on so professionally listening to the same question I was asking over and over again.

You all sensed my pain but guided me every step of the way without putting any pressure or worrying me.

It still amazed me how you roll and clean patients attend to every bleep. I never imagined how dedicated you nurses are. My son was treated with love care and compassion by you all. You are the best. I will never forget everything you done for both of us and I know I just of been a pain but thanks for putting up with me.

Not to mention the doctors amazing people and I have to mention the cleaners who were so nice and carried on when I was buckling. Putting a smile on my face so thank you to them.

See you soon. He is getting stronger everyday and when I look back I didn't think he was going to make it. You all made it possible. How can a mother thank you all for saving her son's life.

Thank you so much
