"Dreadful delays"

About: Nuffield Health, Exeter Hospital

It took 10 days to get an appointment with the consultant, not counting the week that his secretary was away when there was no contact possible.

They advertise that consultants can normally see you 24 - 48 hours.

What rubbish!

A friend of hours with a similar problem was TREATED in 3 weeks under the NHS, for free.

Dear Patient,

Thank you for your feedback and apologies for the delays that you experienced in getting a consultant appointment, at our Nuffield Health Exeter hospital. The 24-48 hour claim advertised, is based on an average calculated across our network of hospitals.

Unfortunately patient demand in certain specialisms means that there can be delays in getting an appointment. Despite this, I would like to apologise that in this case we were unable to organise a consultation within an agreeable timescale.

With regards,

Ben

On behalf of Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital
