About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

Been to The Hospital today 02 August with someone having an MRI - The person was terrified as suffers with claustrophobia - so yesterday I rang the department (having Googled information on MRI's) and spoke to someone in the department and asked could the person go in FEET first 'That's how it is done here' was the reply - so the person albeit on sedatives was somewhat feeling more relaxed - only to be put in Scanner HEAD first !

Second item - The Fire alarms went off while in The Hospital and the Hospital was evacuated and everybody was sent out to the car park - by the time we had gone back into the hospital we were running over an hour late therefore making the parking fee so much dearer - Shouldn't the barrier have been opened so people got out for free as the delays were not their fault - If nothing else would have been a decent gesture !

We’re sorry that your experience of the New QEII MRI service was not good; we’ve shared your feedback with our radiology team colleagues. Sadly as we neither own nor manage the physical hospital building, including the parking arrangements, we couldn’t have done anything about your second point.
