"Father put on disruptive ward for "rest""

my 80 year old father who is mentally and physically fit had a mild stroke with numbness down left side .After a days asessment he was exhausted and needed to sleep but instead of being put on stroke unit he was put on secure geriatric unit with patients wo shouted,swore,and moaned all night. He rang me in the morning and said if i didnt pick him up he would walk home. By the time i picked him up he was visibly traumatized by the experience.He said he felt like he had been in a 1800's assylum.So much for resting so he discharged himself.Now he has to wait on list for any treatment.
