I went in to have my laporoscopy and dye test yesterday for suspected endometriosis and blocked tubes. I've had 12 miscarriages and have struggled for 16 months to achieve pregnancy.
I arrived at ward 36 at 7.30am and the staff were so lovely and caring. I was taken down to the anaesthetic ward at 1.30pm and met with my anaesthetist and her team. I wish I could remember her name. I cried due to nerves and how long I've waited to hopefully have answers. Herself and another anaesthetist reassured me and held my hand while I went under, I felt so safe under their care. I really appreciate what they do and want to thank them for keeping me safe throughout and the recovery. After surgery they came to see me and wished me luck. So lovely.
Dr Kini performed my surgery with another Gynaecology registrar. They were very professional and told me before surgery everything that would happen. After surgery Dr Kini came to see me and explained what happened and showed me pictures of my womb and ovaries. All looking healthy thankfully.
The staff at ward 35, 36 and the team of anaesthetists have my sincere gratitude for everything they have done for me.
My journey to achieve another child isn't over yet but I know that no matter what happens I can trust the team at Ninewells.
