"My view as a relative of a patient admitted to..."

About: Dorset County Hospital / General medicine

My husband was admitted after becoming very unwell at home. The staff were extremely helpful in providing honest descriptions and explanations of all the various tests that had to be taken. The nursing care was excellent on both of the wards he spent time in and they always considered my concerns as well which impressed both of us. It quickly became obvious that my husband was seriously ill but he was very thankful of the doctors honesty in giving the diagnosis. At all times he was treated with great dignity and thoughtfulness by the nursing staff during the days and nights he spent there. I can never thank the staff of Moreton Ward enough for all their kindness and consideration. There are never enough staff to do all the things they need to do but somehow they find the time and a kind word whenever one is needed. God bless them.

Hello, it is fantastic to hear about the care your husband received whilst a patient at Dorset County Hospital, particularly Morton Ward – this is the high standard of care that we hope to achieve for all our patients, and it is great to see we are getting it right.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback to let us know how we are doing – I will ensure the Moreton Ward team are aware.

Best wishes
