About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

What I liked

2 wonderful nurses, a sister and a midwife. 2 real nurses that have not forgotten what caring for needing people and empathy mean, unlike everybody else employed by this hospital, a small sunshine after 24 dreadful hours

What could be improved

Fancy delivering your baby without a midwife (because none is available...) without any pain relief (because no midwife available) without a doctor (because it is the works of the midwives even if none is available), without a room ready (since you've been dropped in an empty room by a nurse that is finishing her shift, without even a goon to dress and been told that someone will take care of you but nobody ever shows up) and your husband runs everywhere to get someone to help when you start to bleed and your baby is coming out and you've been left to yourself because nobody is available to take care of you?

Fancy being stitched without anesthesia after your delivery without any pain relief despite you begging for the whole afternoon to get an epidural (but no midwife available so no epidural, the doctors will not help it is not their job to care about the patients)

Fancy the look of the nurses and doctors that lacks any sign of empathy in front of your distress when they walk around chit chatting and doing 'handovers'?

Want to have your naked baby in your arms that you desperately try to keep warm while it takes almost 3 hours for somebody to come and help clean the baby, weight it and help dressing it (yes 3 hours after the delivery!) while your husband tries to find at least a clean towel to wrap your newborn?

If you fancy all that then this is the right hospital for you

Anything else?

Do you like when the nurse drops the induction gel dispenser on the floor, picks it up and stick it in your private parts without cleaning it despite your voiced concerns on the hygiene and she says 'that's alright don't worry? If yes then you will love the service at Queen Charlotte

Seems impossible but everything is real
