About: Wexham Park Hospital

What I liked

I went through Radical Prostatectomy at Wexham Park Hospital. The procedure was very clearly explained to me and I was actively involved in the ultimate choice. The Urologist performed the surgery using state of art robotic assisted Da Vinci machine. There was little blood loss, practically no post surgical pain and there was no need to take any antibiotics. I was discharged in less than 48 hours after the major surgery and the hospital staff gave me amazing care. the post surgical follow ups have also been up to my expectations and I have got all the benefits of the surgery as were explained to me before I went in for it.

What could be improved

Every shift showed up new nursing staff. Perhaps there is too much agency staff employed. A patient relationship with support staff is essential which does not happen in this kind of an environment.

Anything else?

The doctors are over worked. Please get them to spend more time with their patients. Having said, they are doing their best!
