What I liked

staff in the respiratory unit are polite and treat my mum with respect and try to motivate her.

ward is really clean and as a whole the whole hospital is clean, better than last time she was in. When i went to see her i didnt see a doctor anywhere and when my sister asked to speak to someone about her care she was told the nurse was on a break but she would be back before we left but she offered to go and find the doctor

What could be improved

a bin or bigger bag to put rubbish in.

this is the second time my mum as come in this hospital and she is treated better than last time she came in november 2009 when she was in the old hospital, my mum was accused of bringing in mrsa and another bug into the ward but she hadnt as my mum is housebound so there was no way she could of brought it in. The staff on ward 20 are really nice and always cheerful considering there job must be stressful. This hospital so is nice and has a relaxed atmosphere i would be happy to have an operation here. the building from the outside looks like a airplane hanger, and inside it says gate 1 etc reminds me of an airport. Canteen is really nice and good choice of food and healthy options. glad that there is bus shelters/stops nr the entrance as i find it hard to walk far. Pay and display machine nr taxi stop should be checked as it was just taking money and you got nothing in return, also needed better lighting in the car park etc
