Having an unusual condition which affects my memory I always have someone with me when I attend medical appointments.
I was refused an injection that was booked and organised for some time because I had my mother with me.
I was told I could not have the organised treatment unless my mother left the room.
Made me feel so uncomfortable and intimidated I didn't want my mum to leave so was refused treatment.
I find this absurd when NHS suggest taking a friend or relative and especially when I have memory problems.
