"Outstanding care from everyone at the Lister..."

About: Lister Hospital

What I liked

We visited Lister Hospital last week for our son to undergo his tonsillectomy surgery. We were greeted by some very friendly staff who explained the whole process very clearly. The Bluebell ward was full of Christmas lights, and other colourful drawings and paintings and was a fantastic environment for our son to stay in during what could have been quite an ordeal for both him and us. Not the case though. My son and us parents felt completely reassured by your staff during the whole process. One nurse in particular stayed with my son throughout the whole procedure. She was fantastic, a real credit to you and the rest of your team. We would love this feedback to reach her, because she deserves our thanks and praise. The ward staff and particularly the anaesthetists were also fantastic. It really was the best treatment that we as a family have ever received from any NHS hospital, so well done and thank you once again to everyone involved. Although we all hope never to end up in hospital, I hope that if we do, we can come back to the Lister. Well done again to you and all of your staff for working so hard.

What could be improved

I can honestly think of nothing that I would like to see improved. Free patient parking maybe?!

Can't promise free parking, but at least we can make sure that your lovely and heartfelt feedback makes its way to the team who cared for your son - we're sure they will be deighted to read your kind words! Very best wishes to you and your son - we hope that he makes a full and swift recovery.
