"Cataract Removal"

About: Cumberland Infirmary / Ophthalmology

I visited the ophthalmology department in July 2018 for cataract removal. When I arrived, one particular receptionist was very reassuring when I explained I was nervous. Another staff member took my blood pressure, administered drops etc. and was very efficient kind & encouraging. He has the perfect manner to put you at ease. Two particular nurses kindly took turns to hold my hand during surgery. One nurse discharged me after giving me a welcome cup of coffee, advice and medication. The surgeon & his team did a wonderful job & I have had no problems or any pain at all either during or after surgery. Many thanks to the entire team for their professionalism.

Many thanks for taking the time to send in feedback following your cataract removal. I am pleased that you felt well looked after by the skilled and caring team. I will pass on your comments to the Matron for the area to share with the team who always appreciate receiving feedback from patients.

kind regards
