The reception staff and the nurse that was present at the consultation were very polite and helpful.

I had an appointment with a consultant concerning my son. I had been referred to the hospital by his GP and advised to go by his speech therapist and nursery nurse. When I walked in to his office the consultant was very unwelcoming and abrupt.

He treated me like I was some silly little woman who didn't know what she was talking about. He patronised me and on more than one occasion he rolled his eyes at my questions. I didn't get a straight answer out of him or a professional opinion. I came away more worried and confused than when I went in.

This doctor needs some more training in patient care and frankly he needs some lessons in manners.
