"Brilliant surgery"

I want to say how lucky we are to have this incredible team at this surgery . I was very scared a few weeks ago suddenly suffering pins and needles everywhere, my heart started racing and felt v poorly and I hadn’t been feeling right before then - but had had a thyroid blood test not long before. .

I have a history with under active thyroid. Called surgery ,and as always with the receptionists , spoke to a caring empathetic receptionist and I ran through what was happening ; they made an appointment for me with the doctor that afternoon. . The doctor was kind , reassuring, and very thorough - making sure I didn’t feel rushed. The doctor checked my blood pressure , pulse , and arranged for full blood checks; blood sugar ,thyroid , cholesterol, blood profile, liver, kidneys, calcium. The blood test was a fasting one which the receptionist arranged in the morning for me within the week. The nurse ( thank you) knowing how worried I was was so gentle and kind and again reassuring. They made an appointment for me with the same doctor a few days later 24 th Nov . Test results were back everything fine and thyroid meds adjusted. Feel better now 3 weeks on they were fantastic. As someone who doesn’t like going to the gps and will avoid going unless absolutely necessary , every time I have gone every gp here has treated me kindly, been reassuring and been thorough. I will say on this day the gp who treated me was exceptional -

I was so relieved when he told me all was ok but thyroid low side of normal -dose increased.

I was also able in this appointment to check re my brisk walking exercise regime
