"Medical bed still in my sister-in-law's house more two weeks after she died."

About: Worcestershire PCT

(as a relative),

My sister-in-law died at the start of November. The NHS had provided her with a medical bed so that she could be at home with her family.

It is now 17 days since she died and the bed remains in our house. We've made so many calls to the hospital, who tell us to speak to the manufacturers, who tell us to speak to the district nurses who pass responsibility back to the hospital or manufacturers. No one will help.

My sister in law has a teenage son who is grieving for his mum and it is awful for him to have this empty medical bed in the house still, over two weeks since he lost his mum. I feel like we're being sent round in circles and the whole thing is very distressing.
