I am so glad I have moved from this surgery.
Whilst the nurse is lovely and knows their stuff, as is the asthma nurse, I had complained of terrible reflux symptoms to GPs over two years and it was all ignored really.
They just wacked me back on tablets without investigating its cause.
I also had a strange skin rash that they diagnosed as scabies! I am very doubtful of this diagnoses as had a fever etc, and I think shingles was far more accurate.
Every time I went the doctor was almost starring into space and not taking me seriously.
I wanted to be tested to see if I had a milk intolerance, and the doctor had to literally look it up to see if a blood test would show anything!
Surely the doctor gets this request several times a week.
I pay my stamp duty and taxes, and everywhere else the NHS has been far far superior and to be honest downright thorough.
Since moving surgery ,the first doctor I saw sent me straight for a endoscopy showing Grade 2 injuries to my oseophagus.. thankfully the GP took me seriously from years of suffering!
Also, when moving into the area ,i needed a GP letter for a medical insurance policy, it took months of them fobbing me off stating they had done it when they clearly hadn't.
Appalling practice the doctor with some severe training needed of their staff.
i saw a different doctor once and seemed very knowledgeable and approachable, but some decent training definitely needed for the rest of the doctors and reception staff.
"Attention to medical complaints usually fobbed..."
